Dr. Neil B. Mansdorf, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Neil Mansdorf, DPM, FACFAS has dedicated himself to providing the finest foot and ankle care available in Orange County. He is well trained and versed in all current therapeutic techniques in sports medicine, wound care and Board Certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and an Associate of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.

Education

Dr. Mansdorf received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. He pursued two additional years of graduate training in Neuroscience at both the University of California, San Diego and the University of California, Los Angeles studying neuronal development of both the eye and ear. He subsequently received his medical degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco.

Dr. Mansdorf completed two separate residencies, one a Primary Podiatric Medicine from LA County USC and the other, a Podiatric Surgical Residency from the California College of Podiatric Medicine / Arizona Foot and Ankle program. Starting practice in Northern California with the Cupertino Podiatry Group, he later relocated to his current location in the City of Orange in 2000.

Professional Involvement

Dr. Mansdorf is actively engaged in promoting the integrity, advancement and awareness of the podiatric medical profession.

As a student in medical school, Dr. Mansdorf was the student representative to the California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA) and has remained closely involved with the association since graduation. Dr. Mansdorf serves on the Radiology Task Force to the CPMA helping to guide the association on issues related to x-ray use, implementation and training for podiatrists in California. He also serves as Workshop Coordinator and lecturer for the Western, CPMA’s national medical conference and the American Podiatric Medical Association’s national medical conference.

Dr. Mansdorf has been an active Board Member of the Orange County Podiatric Medical Association since 2000 and served two terms as  President to the OCPMA Board. The Association serves its professional members by promoting education, research and community involvement and serves the public by increasing access and awareness of better foot and ankle health care.

Dr. Mansdorf served two terms as a Governor’s Appointee to the California Department of Public Health – Radiologic Technology Certifying Committee. This State Committee is charged with protecting the public from ionizing radiation by defining training requirements and safety protocols for all doctors and x-ray technologists using x-rays, CT scans, fluoroscopy and bone densitometry throughout California.

Dr. Mansdorf is Past President to the California Board of Podiatric Medicine and served three terms. This is also a Governor Appointed position. The Medical Board’s mission is to protect consumers by setting and enforcing California laws based upon contemporary standards and to provide accurate and timely information that promotes sound consumer decision-making.

Community

Since starting his practice in Orange County, Dr. Mansdorf has been very involved in his local community. He is a Rotarian in the Rotary Club of Orange. Rotary’s objective and motto is, “service above self” – members volunteer in communities at home and abroad to support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, and eradicate polio.

Dr. Mansdorf is also Past President to the Board of the Orange Senior Center and continues to provide free foot screenings monthly at the Senior Center. He also serves as a Board Member to Triangle Terrace, a Section 8 senior housing development in Orange. The facility provides affordable housing to seniors.
